HB 2056 requires each public school campus to designate an employee as a school health officer responsible for managing health initiatives and administering medication to students. It expands the purposes of the school health and safety allotment under the Foundation School Program to include funding for school health officers and enhances provisions for school safety infrastructure, mental health services, and emergency preparedness.
