HB 207 amends the Texas Penal Code to expand the definition of prohibited sexually explicit visual material involving children to include depictions created using anatomically correct dolls, mannequins, or robots designed to resemble a child under 18 years of age. The bill specifically applies to visual material depicting a recognizable child, whether through actual features or computer-generated modifications, including images created with artificial intelligence or other software. HB 207 will take effect on September 1, 2025, and applies only to offenses committed on or after that date.
