HB 2167 requires the Railroad Commission of Texas, in collaboration with the Public Utility Commission and the independent organization certified for the ERCOT power region, to create a gas inventory system. The system will collect real-time information on the gas supply from intrastate gas pipeline operators, utilizing telemetry or a hotline. The collected data is confidential and not subject to public disclosure.
