HB 2262 requires toll road operators to install and maintain dynamic message signs at each entrance point to variable-rate tolled lanes that adjust pricing to maintain free-flow speeds. These signs must be clearly visible before entry and must display The current toll price for using the lane from entry to exit, the estimated travel time in the tolled lane, the estimated travel time for adjacent non-tolled lanes for the same distance. The bill applies to all toll project entities and mandates compliance by January 1, 2026.
