HB 2400 prohibits the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in Texas public schools and open-enrollment charter schools for classroom instruction. The bill bars AI from being used to teach students, supplement a teacher’s role, or replace teacher-student interaction in any course. The restriction applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
