HB 2431 expands the route restrictions for vehicles transporting intermodal shipping containers. Under current law, vehicles with a special permit for transporting intermodal containers are limited to operating within five miles of the Texas-Arkansas border. This bill increases the allowable distance to 30 miles, allowing more flexibility in transport routes.
