Digest
HB 2447 allows individuals convicted of certain felony offenses committed before the age of 25 to petition for an order of nondisclosure of their criminal history. It applies to offenses that are not punishable as a first-degree felony. To be eligible, the individual must have completed their sentence, including confinement, community supervision, and payment of fines, and must not have any prior felony convictions. The petition can only be filed 15 years after completing the sentence, and the court must determine that granting the order is in the best interest of justice.
