Digest
HB 2752 prohibits certain foreign entities and individuals from purchasing real estate in Texas. It applies to governments, political parties, and businesses controlled by countries identified by the U.S. Director of National Intelligence as a national security risk, designated by the U.S. State Department as a state sponsor of terrorism, or sanctioned for arms, munitions, or technology sales. The bill exempts U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and diplomatic properties. The Texas Attorney General may enforce the law and seek divestiture of unlawfully purchased properties.
