HB 2906 increases the civil liability for towing companies, booting companies, and parking facility owners who intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly violate state towing and booting regulations. It imposes financial penalties including $1,000 plus three times the fees assessed for towing, storage, or booting, $500 per day the vehicle owner cannot use their vehicle, and reimbursement for reasonable incidental costs. The bill applies to violations occurring on or after September 1, 2025.
