HB 2962 exempts political subdivisions, including cities and counties, from taxes on the gross receipts of electricity sales. The bill requires the Public Utility Commission to adjust electric utility billing to reflect tax reductions resulting from this exemption. Retail electric providers must also pass tax savings on to political subdivision customers.
