Digest
HB 2999 allows hydrogen-fueled motor vehicles to exceed current weight limitations by the additional weight of their hydrogen tanks and fueling systems. However, the total weight of such vehicles cannot exceed 82,000 pounds. The bill takes effect only if federal law changes to permit hydrogen-powered vehicles to exceed existing weight limits on interstates and highways. If no such federal law is enacted, this bill has no effect.
