HB 3030 creates a student loan repayment assistance program for certain state employees. The program provides repayment assistance for state workers with five years of service whose income is at or below 80% of the statewide median family income. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board will administer the program, with repayment amounts determined by available funds. State employees may receive assistance for up to five years​.
