HB 3205 allows counties with populations over 500,000 to impose a Housing First Initiatives Fee to fund homelessness prevention and housing programs. The fee would be collected when individuals pay for certain county services and would be used for emergency shelters, street outreach programs, and transitional housing initiatives.
