HB 3280 adjusts the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) for police and firefighter pension members. It prevents employees with 20 or more years of participation in DROP from continuing to accrue retirement benefits while still actively employed. This change retroactively applies to any members who exceeded the 20-year threshold after January 1, 2018.
