HB 3328 requires that any purchases made under the Supplemental Special Education Services and Instructional Materials Program be approved by a student’s Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee. Before a grant is assigned to a student’s account, the committee must meet with the student’s parent to determine the most appropriate supplemental education services and materials. The committee must provide a list of approved purchases to both the parent and the Texas Education Agency. These changes will apply beginning in the 2025-2026 school year.
