HB 3473 updates tax law to require all counties to accept electronic payments for property taxes, including payments via credit card, debit card, electronic check, or ACH transfer. It also allows tax collectors to charge a processing fee of up to 5% to cover costs incurred in handling electronic payments. Larger counties must implement this by 2026, while smaller counties have until 2027.
