HB 3492 requires foster parents, adoptive parents, kinship caregivers, caseworkers, supervisors, and personnel working with children in the state’s care to complete an annual, eight-hour online training course on nurturing emotional health, trauma-informed care, and attachment issues. The course must be available in English and Spanish, and in areas where a single source continuum contractor (SSCC) provides foster care, the contractor must ensure the training requirement is met.
