HB 352 proposes restrictions on firearm transfers to certain individuals. The bill amends Section 46.06 of the Texas Penal Code to raise the minimum age for receiving a firearm to 21 (from 18) and prohibits the transfer of firearms to individuals subject to protective orders or those who are intoxicated. It also makes it a state jail felony to transfer a handgun to individuals under these restrictions or to knowingly provide false information on federal or state firearm transfer forms.
