HB 3738 mandates an annual study on the presence of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in school lunches. The Texas Department of Agriculture, with assistance from the Texas Education Agency, must analyze representative food samples served in school lunch programs and submit a report to state leadership by December 31 each year.
