HB 374 amends the Texas Government Code to designate the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even-numbered years as a state holiday. This day coincides with general election days in those years. The legislation adds this holiday to the list of state holidays under Section 662.003(b) and legal holidays under Section 662.021. The bill is set to take effect on September 1, 2025.
