HB 3854 revises child abuse and neglect reporting requirements by clarifying that all reports must be made to both a local or state law enforcement agency and the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Additionally, if the alleged abuse occurs at a public school, a report must also be submitted to the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
