HB 3885 expands the eligibility for public school student transfers. Currently, children of peace officers and servicemembers can request transfers to different campuses or districts. This bill extends that right to children of judges and justices of state or federal courts in Texas. The bill allows parents to choose the campus or district but does not require the school district to provide transportation.
