HB 394 amends Article 38.072 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure to clarify that hearsay statements admissible under this article in cases of sexual or assaultive offenses committed against a child or person with a disability remain admissible regardless of the individual's age at the time the statement was made. The changes apply to criminal proceedings commencing on or after the bill’s effective date, September 1, 2025.
