HB 4050 directs the Texas Department of Transportation to conduct a study on incorporating drainage infrastructure into statewide transportation planning. The study will evaluate how drainage considerations can be integrated into various transportation plans and programs. The department must solicit input from local governments and stakeholders and submit a final report with recommendations to the governor and legislature by January 1, 2027. The act expires on August 31, 2027.
