HB 4435 establishes a maternal health training program for healthcare providers. The program will focus on best practices for handling obstetric emergencies, implementing maternal safety initiatives, and reducing maternal mortality and morbidity. Healthcare providers will be required to participate in the program, which will be developed in collaboration with the Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee​.
