HB 4441, known as the Topical Ophthalmic Medication Waste Reduction Act, this bill allows healthcare facilities, including hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers, to provide patients with any unused portion of prescribed ophthalmic medications upon discharge. It also permits facilities to reuse unlabeled topical ophthalmic medications for other patients within a 24-hour period​.
