HB 4613 permits appraisal districts, appraisal review boards, or chief appraisers to recover attorney’s fees when they prevail in an appeal where a property owner challenges their property’s appraisal on the grounds of unequal taxation. The awarded fees are capped at $100,000, aligning with similar limits for property owners. The bill applies to appeals filed on or after September 1, 2025.
