HB 4617 mandates that sellers of unimproved real property provide written disclosure to buyers if any part of the property is located in a FEMA-designated floodplain. If the seller fails to provide this notice before the contract’s effective date, the buyer has seven days to terminate the agreement. The law applies to property sale contracts entered into on or after September 1, 2025​.
