HB 4635 requires insurance companies and health maintenance organizations to disclose when an artificial intelligence (AI) system was used to deny an insurance claim. The written disclosure must notify claimants that AI made the determination, explain the basis for the denial, and provide appeal instructions. The requirement applies to claims submitted on or after September 1, 2025.
