HB 4726 prohibits organizations from providing homeless services within 1,000 feet of a public or private primary or secondary school campus, a residential area, or a public park. Violating this restriction would make an organization ineligible to obtain a license, permit, certificate, or other authorization necessary to operate in Texas. The bill exempts overnight shelters from these restrictions​.
