HB 4787 prohibits school districts and charter schools from providing students with meals containing specific food color additives, including Red 40, Yellow 5, and Blue 1. It also prevents recipients of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits from using those funds to purchase foods containing these additives unless federal law requires otherwise​.
