HB 4792 authorizes municipalities located on the Texas-Mexico border with populations exceeding 85,000 that host the Texas Citrus Fiesta to change the date of their general elections for officers to align with the November uniform election date. Once changed, these municipalities would be prohibited from reverting to a non-November election date.
