HB 4900 prohibits the investment of state money in certain countries, specifically China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia, as well as companies controlled by or operating under the jurisdiction of these countries. It requires the Texas Comptroller to maintain a list of companies subject to investment restrictions and authorizes the governor to designate additional countries of concern​.
