HB 492 amends the Texas Government Code to impose additional restrictions on developments eligible for low-income housing tax credits. It makes applications ineligible if the proposed development is not located within two miles of a grocery store, among other previously established requirements. The bill applies to applications submitted during cycles based on the 2026 Qualified Allocation Plan or later.
