HB 506 amends the Texas Education Code to prohibit nonprofit state associations or organizations that represent school boards or other public educational institutions and adopt certain concepts in their mission statements from providing training, instruction, or insurance/risk pool contracts to public educational entities. The prohibition applies to new contracts entered into on or after September 1, 2025.
