HB 5076 revises liability rules for health organizations that employ physicians. It establishes that a health organization that ensures its employed physicians exercise independent medical judgment will not be vicariously liable for those physicians' medical decisions. This protection applies only if the organization does not interfere with or control the physician’s independent medical judgment.
