HB 5090 requires hospitals to allow individuals scheduled for medical procedures to provide autologous (self-donated) or direct blood donations for their own use. It establishes a 72-hour advance notification requirement for individuals who wish to use personally donated blood and allows them to provide a list of eligible direct blood donors​.
