HB 5280 prohibits state and local government entities from considering a business’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies when awarding contracts. It explicitly prevents government agencies from refusing to contract with businesses that have DEI departments, require DEI statements from employees, or support DEI-related employee resource groups.
