HB 5511 mandates a review of boards, commissions, and advisory committees under the jurisdiction of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. The review will assess whether these entities are still necessary and whether they enhance operational efficiency. The Comptroller must submit a report to the Legislature by December 1, 2026, identifying which boards or commissions should be repealed. The bill also repeals certain sections of the Government Code to eliminate outdated or redundant entities​.
