HB 5594 modifies the Texas Property Code to prohibit housing discrimination related to brokerage services. It makes it unlawful for any real estate organization, multiple listing service, or similar entity to discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin. Additionally, the bill states that filing an ethics complaint against a person based on their public speech or religious views constitutes discrimination under these provisions​.
