Digest
HB 707 mandates the use of parental child safety placements in appropriate cases as determined by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). If DFPS decides against such placements, it must document the reasons in the child's case file and notify the child’s state representative and senator. This Act aims to increase accountability and transparency in child placement decisions and is effective September 1, 2025.
