HB 740 expands Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) eligibility to certain students enrolled in postsecondary educational institutions. The Health and Human Services Commission will establish rules to determine eligible degree programs and ensure continuity of benefits during academic breaks. A work group will assist in rulemaking, with provisions effective until 2027. The Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
