HB 764 is known as "Lauren and CJ’s Law," this bill increases the minimum term of imprisonment for intoxication manslaughter to five years and alters eligibility for community supervision, mandatory supervision, and parole for such offenses. The law applies only to offenses committed on or after September 1, 2025.
