HB 819 clarifies the role of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) as a state agency under the University of Texas at Austin. It requires UIL meetings, hearings, and other official duties to comply with open government laws, including the Texas Open Meetings Act and the Public Information Act. The Act applies to meetings held on or after September 1, 2025.
