HB 825 delays the implementation of rules adopted by the commissioner of education or the Texas Education Agency related to public school accountability until the two school years following their adoption, unless a shorter timeframe is required by law. This measure is intended to allow schools adequate time to adapt to new regulations. The law takes effect immediately upon sufficient legislative approval or on September 1, 2025.
