HB 827 modifies the grant program administered by the nursing resource section of the Department of State Health Services to include funding for innovative approaches or best practices aimed at reducing verbal and physical violence against nurses. Eligible settings include hospitals, freestanding emergency medical facilities, nursing facilities, and home health agencies. The Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
