HB 884 modifies the municipal sales and use tax for street maintenance, allowing municipalities that meet specific voter reauthorization thresholds to extend the tax for eight or ten years instead of the standard four years. Revenue usage is expanded to include maintenance and repair of water, wastewater, or stormwater systems within municipal street rights-of-way. The law takes effect immediately if it receives sufficient legislative approval or on September 1, 2025.
