HB 965 amends current abortion laws to allow exceptions in cases of pregnancies resulting from sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, or incest. It specifies that no police report, forensic evidence, or prosecution of the alleged offender is required to qualify for the exception. It also repeals certain outdated laws prohibiting abortion and clarifies that pregnant individuals are exempt from prosecution under these provisions. The law is effective immediately upon sufficient legislative support or on September 1, 2025.
