HB 973 prohibits courts, administrative agencies, or other tribunals from ordering school district employees to amend a student’s permanent record to reflect a sex different from the student’s biological sex at birth. The definition of "biological sex" includes sex organs, chromosomes, and endogenous profiles determined at birth. The law becomes effective on September 1, 2025.
