HCR 8 directs the Texas School for the Deaf to name its middle school gymnasium the Robert Rives Gymnasium in honor of Robert Rives, a distinguished alumnus, educator, and pioneer in the deaf and hard of hearing community, who also served as the school’s first football coach.
